Twin Cities Family Given Extreme Home Makeover

Extreme Makeover Home Edition™ came to the aid of a Twin Cities family in August and provided them with a new home. While the week-long event was boiled down to a two hour episode on the popular ABC television program aired November 25, over 200 local designers and contractors participated in the hectic around-the-clock construction marathon to complete the 5,400 sq. ft. house within the allotted seven days.

The program relies on the generosity of local businesses and volunteers to get the job done on time. Graco made a generous equipment donation of $35,000 to the local painting and foam contractors who textured, foamed and painted the new home. Graco’s Applied Fluid Technologies Division (AFTD) supplied foam insulation equipment, while Graco Contractor Equipment Division (CED) provided painting, staining, and texture sprayers.

“As a member of the community, Graco was glad to provide equipment to the local contractors involved in this home makeover,” says Max Baumgartner, AFTD Sales & Marketing Director for High Performance Coatings & Foam. “Our equipment and on-site support definitely helped these contractors complete their work under a very aggressive deadline.”

The taping of the home’s construction is ABC's 100th episode and will be broadcast in 68 countries.
