Plural Component system eliminates hand mixing in agro machinery manufacturing
Since 1993 Agrikon KAM Ltd. in Hungary has been working as a 100% privately owned company producing almost solely for export. The main products of Agrikon are fully or partially assembled cabs for self-propelled agricultural machines such as combine-harvesters, choppers and tractors; construction machinery; and main subassemblies and also for self-propelled machines such as feederhouses and various components.
Smart alternative to hand mixing
For the production of tractor and harvester machine parts in a new paint colour, Agrikon needed a small form factor, easy to use, mobile unit to serve in more than one spray booth if necessary. This could not be done with the previous unit in use. Two different materials with iso-catalyst needed to be handled, with two different mixing ratios. The Graco M2K unit with an optional special outfitted mobile cart, closed catalyst tank, and a diaphragm pump for flushing was offered for this small batch with two new colours. In low pressure one unit was needed with a 3:1 mixing ratio and in high pressure (Air-Assisted/Airless) one unit needed a 2:1 fixed mixing ratio.
Compact and qualitative
To enable fast traveling capability between the spray booths, two very compact and mobile systems were built. The compact size makes it easier and faster to flush. “After the installation we were very satisfied with the high surface quality of both Graco AirPro and G40 guns” says Agoston Pasztor, Technical Advisor and Technician from Agrikon.
