Graco InSite Wins Award

Connected World Award recognizes leverage of machine-to-machine technology to solve a problem.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – March 25, 2014 – Graco Inc. (NYSE:GGG), a leading manufacturer of fluid handling equipment, announced that it won the gold award in the manufacturing category at the Connected World® Awards Gala held in Chicago last month. The awards recognize companies that successfully leverage M2M technology to solve a critical business pain point with quantifiable results.

Graco won for its creation and implementation of Graco InSite™ Remote Reporting Technology, which enables contractors using electric and hydraulic Reactor® equipment to view activity from multiple job sites in real time. The data is transmitted from a Graco Reactor proportioner through cellular network and can be viewed on a smartphone, tablet or computer. Contractors can then access information including the confirmation of the crew starting on time, verification of spray parameters, material usage and similar other information. Graco InSite collects data from the user’s connected jobsites and creates a number of reports the user can download or set up to receive by email. The report can help the user determine the real costs of doing business in terms of manpower and materials, and identify waste in business.

The Connected World Awards also honored 2-Track, the technology enabler that partnered with Graco in 2013 to develop Graco InSite. 2-Track designs software that manages executive, vehicle and asset tracking, as well as remote asset command and control.

The Connected World Awards were presented as part of Connected World Conference held within the 2014 Chicago Auto Show Feb. 13. Graco was one of several companies winning awards, which are given to those who have mastered the process of combining multiple technologies, such as device, connectivity, hardware, radio modules, network service and provisioning, as well as application software and infrastructure. Awards were given in the categories of Building Automation, Connected Car, Consumer Electronics, Security, Manufacturing and others.
