'Set and Forget' Pulsation Minimization

Minimize pulsation on factory paint circulation lines with Graco's active surge suppressor. Once you set it up, you can forget about manual adjustments.

  • Active air pressure compensation makes periodic air pressure checks unnecessary.
  • Automatic self-adjustment removes the need to manually adjust air pressure inside the surge suppressor when target fluid pressure changes.
Active Surge Suppression
  • Shop air compatibility: Suppressor connects to compressed air lines already installed in most plants.
  • Good flush-ability: Fluid section has an optimized flow path that flushes cleanly and thoroughly in between colors.
  • Improved failure mode: Check valve prevents paint from leaking out if a diaphragm ruptures.

What are surge suppressors?

Also called “surge tanks,” surge suppressors are used in paint circulation systems to remove pressure pulsations from the supply pump.

During a pump changeover, a very brief but undesirable pressure pulsation occurs. Adding a surge suppressor can eliminate the pressure pulsation.
