Increased spray performance

All system components contained between the fluid inlet and the spray gun are safely locked away in a fully isolated charged cabinet. The closed system and semi-automatic refill ensure that exposure to safety risks and hazardous substances is kept to a minimum.

Using the HydroShield’s convenient control module, the operator can easily adjust parameters and settings. The interactive interface allows the operator to monitor operation modes, system status, preset status, and other functions. Maintenance screens show service reminders.

COLOUR CHANGE SYSTEM
The HydroShield Colour Change System is equipped with six valves. Three of these valves are for colours, but system hardware and software can easily be configured for additional coulor change valves, allowing operators to manage up to 15 coulors and to switch between them with remarkable ease. The remaining three valves are for flush sequences, including flush material, air push, and a dump valve, which recovers material in the isolation pump, minimising waste.
HIGH-PERFORMING PUMP
The isolation pump inside the cabinet contains 1150cc (39 oz) of material and enables semi-automatic refilling. It refills from a supply source when the operator releases the trigger – eliminating the need to shut down the system for manual refill and making the spray handling a lot easier.

Electrostatic Spray Guns
Pro Xp WB electrostatic guns deliver impressive spray performance and transfer efficiency. Depending on the pressure and the application, HydroShield can be used with air-spray, mould release or air-assisted spray guns.
OPERATOR-FRIENDLY CONTROL MODULE
The HydroShield’s control module allows the operator to adjust a wide range of system parameters for precision process control in one compact display: system status, operation modes, preset controls, service reminders, etc.
ISOLATION VALVE AND CABINET
The system’s sturdy isolation cabinet is constructed with durable materials and components for extended life. The isolation valve contained within was designed to allow the system to fill without concern of electrostatic breakdown.
Ground rod
The HydroShield system is fitted with a ground rod to guarantee the operator’s safety when the cabinet is opened.

To spray waterborne material
Unlike conventional systems, the HydroShield does not require an isolated mixing room to operate. Higher productivity is achieved by not needing to shut down the system to refill. The controller interface allows the operator to set system parameters and spray settings for precise process control. HydroShield can be used both for high- and low-pressure applications and the system can be configured to switch between up to 15 colours. In addition to safety grounding components to protect the operator, the automatic refill feature reduces the need to open the isolation cabinet. Reduced operator interaction means a safer workplace.
Ease of use
Versatile and ready to use
The HydroShield electrostatic spray system for waterborne materials is a complete off-the-shelf solution that can be adapted to an incredible variety of paint spraying applications with no compromise on quality!
- It can be used both for low-pressure and high-pressure applications, depending on the viscosity of the material. For high-pressure applications, a Merkur pump is used to boost the fluid pressure to the gun.
- The system does not take up much space and is easy to install, which makes it perfectly suitable for smaller set-ups or testing environments.
The pre-installed HydroShield system is easy to handle: simply set the parameters to your preferences and the system is ready to go.

Low Pressure
The HydroShield is perfectly suited for low-pressure applications involving low solid materials (20-30% solid) with a lower viscosity. The end result is a fine coating with a low layer thickness, ideal for applications such as engine coating.
High Pressure
With the help of an additional pump to boost the fluid pressure, the HydroShield can easily be adjusted for high-pressure applications. This is just the right set-up for spraying metals, trucks, cars, etc. with a relatively thick coating consisting of high solid (>55% solid), high viscous material.
