For Mobaut, Graco’s excellent quality, reliability and service are key
Belgian mobile automation specialist Mobaut became a Graco distributor early in 2020.
The focus of the company Mobaut (Mobile Automation) is on the customized automation of construction and earth-moving machines to make them more efficient in operation and management.
Based in Sint Katelijne Waver, Belgium, Mobaut first came into contact with Graco in early November 2019 through Robert Heuberger, Graco EMEA Sales and Product Marketing Manager, Industrial Lubrication. “We visited the distribution center in Maasmechelen and were very impressed,” says Ben Leemans, Managing Director and Owner of Mobaut. “We agreed to become a Graco distributor for off-road lubrication systems starting from February 2020.”
90-minute drive to Graco’s European headquarters
One of the advantages of working with Graco is that if the necessary parts are not in stock at Mobaut’s premises, it’s just a 90-minute drive to Graco’s European headquarters. Aside from short delivery times – even for specific applications – Leemans lists consistently high quality and competitive prices as other benefits of being a Graco distributor.
A winning combo: G3 and G-Mini pumps
Their best-selling item is the Graco G3 pump. “With the option of three pump elements, this is a very installation-friendly product,” explains Leemans. Coming in close behind it is the G-Mini grease lubrication pump: “With its small footprint, the G-Mini pump is a hugely popular product and is a great solution for compact machines. I’m surprised that the competition has overlooked this kind of product.”
Mobaut personnel use the Graco website to find the right documentation for products, along with Graco's Customer Information System (CIS) which gives them access to their orders, parts availability, prices, etc.
Harnessing innovative digital solutions
Unfortunately, soon after becoming a Graco distributor, COVID-19 struck, which made organizing training sessions or VIP days difficult. However, Leemans is looking forward to following some planned online training sessions. On the other hand, he is impressed by the quality and extent of Graco’s product demos. “When new products are released, the Graco sales force is thoroughly prepared to provide the necessary explanations. It's great to work with people who know what they’re doing.” This level of expertise has been highly beneficial because Mobaut’s customers are not particularly familiar with the Graco lubrication system products. “But with the right explanation they soon gain confidence in Graco’s products. The fact that Graco is a global brand also increases credibility.”
Mobaut has only had a single contact with the Support team to date, and they provided a rapid solution to their problem. All the warranty cases handled by Mobaut so far have gone smoothly. Warranty claims are processed by filling in a simple form.
