Product Description:

CarClad WB is a 1K, corrosion resistant, water-based direct-to-metal, which eliminates pot-life concerns or mix ratio mistakes, and is formulated to meet low VOC requirements. It is formulated to meet specifications requirements of the freight car industry and can perform as a DTM or combination with a 1K water-based primer.

Shelf Life: 6 months, unopened - store indoors at 50˚F to 90˚F

Flash Point: 207˚F, PMCC

Weight: 8.61 lb/gal

Reducer: Water, if needed

Clean Up: Butyl Cellosolve and Water

Direct to Metal:

• Stripe-In high overlap areas first, with a thin coat
• Recessed areas on floors and walls
• Spray 12-18 wet mils over profile (4.0-6.0 dry mils) on main areas of the container
• Adjust wet mils in high overlap areas
• Increase gun speed
• Decrease the number of passes
• "Feather" out toward edge

The following is a guide. Changes in pressures and tip sizes may be needed for proper spray characteristics. Always purge spray equipment before use with listed reducer. Any reduction must be compliant with existing VOC regulations and compatible with the existing environmental and application conditions.
