Product description:

DOWSIL™  EF-6525 RTV low viscosity silicone foam is a two-component low-density liquid elastomer that cures into a foamed elastomer.  Part A and Part B have a 1:1 mix ratio to expand into a dispensable material for encapsulation of intricate electrical components. Able to cure at room temperature, this material can have a reduced cure time and increased throughput when heat is applied. The DOWSIL™ EF-6525 RTV low viscosity silicone foam is stable over a wide temperature range and is suitable for applications where stress relief is required.

Working time: Higher ambient temperatures will increase the cure rate and reduce the working time of the material.

Cure time: Roughly 30 mins (at room temperature), cure time can be accelerated 6-10 minutes at 70°C.

Shelf life: When stored at 32°C (90°F), the material has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture in the original, unopened container.

Recommended uses:

• Encapsulation of intricate or delicate electrical components
• Dispensed directly on to into devices
• Flow and fill in around current collectors and battery cells
