Cabinetmaker decreases compressed air use and cuts costs
A cabinet manufacturer kept stains in 30 different pressure pots. Each pot required agitation in order to keep the material at the right consistency for spraying
Their traditional rotary vane motor agitators were loud, required a lot of compressed air, and were difficult to service and rebuild. Always looking to improve, they knew there could be a better way.
Reliable, cost-effective solution
The paint line manager agreed to test Graco's radial piston agitator. The new agitator motor is designed to use less air, provide easy maintenance, and operate quietly.
Results within 9 months
The cabinet manufacturer installed two radial piston air motors. Nine months later, they've proven to be more efficient and durable than rotary vane motors.
- Compressed air usage has dropped nearly 30 percent, cutting annual energy costs by hundreds of dollars.
- The industrial agitators also make less noise and require no maintenance.
Happy with product performance and air consumption savings, the paint line manager ordered four more radial piston air motors to upgrade existing agitators.
